The Vaccine Mandate & Hawea Playgroup


Notification from the Hawea Playgroup Team

Good evening Whanau,

We’ve had a few queries lately regarding the vaccine mandate and how it affects us at Hawea Playgroup, so we thought we’d update everyone so that you can understand where we sit within this framework.

At this stage, there is no mandate for Playgroup staff or attending families to be vaccinated. We are following level 2 guidelines, as set by the government. If these guidelines change, we’ll be sure to update you via email and on Facebook, so please ensure you’re following us and have provided your most current email address (as part of enrolment).

Level 2 guidelines mean:

 
  • Signing in using the Covid-19 app, as well as our written Playgroup sign-in sheet (which we need for MOE funding)

  • Masks are encouraged indoors, but optional

  • Social distancing is encouraged. If you feel unwell, please stay at home

We are fortunate enough to have an amazing outdoor space for our tamariki to use, and some fantastic summer weather to come so outdoor play is heavily encouraged.
