Events

There are a range of regular events in the Hāwea area, a few of them listed below. The above newsletter, and the Lake Hāwea Community Centre website itself (here) will also give you more detail on regular events and activities.

• Line Dancing: every Wednesday at the Lake Hāwea community centre at 28 Myra Street, 1:30m - 2:30pm

• Arts and Crafts Group: every other Thursday (check the link), 10am - 10pm, once again at the community centre on Myra Street.

• St Ninian’s Church Service: currently 9:30am on Sunday’s at the community centre, until the new church building opens in Longview.

There are also many local facebook groups, such as the “what’s on Hāwea Luggate” group, that many of us use to keep track of what’s happening locally.
