Tasks for this month:

Weeding/Planting: The Scott’s Beach bore dell and Wedding Tree areas replanting and weeding completed. Some areas mulched.  Next area will be in the Flora Dora dell. Irrigation has been installed. Two sessions cancelled due to weather, but a great turnout of volunteers other times.  Good to see some Kowhai in flower to attract bellbirds and tuis. 

Training: Volunteer training for the Grow Safe herbicide/spraying certificate is almost complete courtesy of QLDC.  A spray diary is being kept.

Wildlife: A pair of very friendly grebes has been seen inside the buoys western end of Scott’s Beach.
