Foreshore Working ‘Thursday’ Group - September Report

Tena Koutou Katoa

Tasks for this month : Lockdown and Level 3 took 3 weeks away from our work.  The past 2 weeks we have had a good turnout, even working in almost gale conditions so we finished early. We have managed to work masked up when necessary, and to replant and continue planting above the track below Flora Dora Parade with a lot more weeding to be completed, hopefully next week.  A total of 49 plants are now in, irrigated and protected.  Good to see some skinks today, and the native orchid Thelymitra leaves appearing.  Its white flower lasts for only one day.

A metal rake, a grubber, some hedge trimmers and a pair of overalls for spraying have been purchased.

Total hours = 41 hours
